Vintage Early Unsigned MIRIAM HASKELL Opaline Satin Glass Flower Festoon Choker Necklace With Glass Pearls. Remarkable Condition. Collectors Item. Special Occasion. Wedding Bridal. Red Carpet Event. Present Gift
Circa 1930’s – early 40’s
Perfect For a Collector… or to Wear and Enjoy!
A FABULOUS vintage Art Deco early MIRIAM HASKELL opalescent glass flower festoon necklace, in beautiful pastel shades. Several of the flowers have satin glass petals and other flowers and leaves are made up of opalescent glass – in pretty pink, mauve, green and aqua shades. The flowers have glass imitation pearls at their centres. The necklace is sewn onto silk tatting, and at the centre of the piece is an oval brass plate with holes, through which the larger flower beads are attached. This was typical of Miriam Haskell designs. It isn’t signed, as you would expect of earlier Haskell designs; her work wasn’t signed until the very late 40’s/early 50’s. Everything about it screams Miriam Haskell. The necklace is in Fantastic Condition, with no losses, and no damage that I can find. It fastens with a shepherd’s hook clasp and is adjustable.
