SUPER RARE Vintage Princess Elizabeth Queen Elizabeth II Picture Portrait Brooch Pin Jewel Encrusted. British Royalty Collector Royalist. Special Occasion. Party Ball. Red Carpet Event. Present Gift.
Pre-Coronation Circa 1951
Perfect for a Collector… or to Wear and Enjoy!
A very charming vintage portrait brooch of a young Queen Elizabeth, before she was crowned, looking breathtakingly beautiful in evening gown and jewels. The necklace and earrings are diamante rhinestones in clear and blue, all of which are present. The brooch setting is a lovely shiny chrome, with a wonderful pie crust edge. It has the original clear plastic cover. Unfortunately these were not watertight and were therefore susceptible to moisture damage. There is a brown mark on the right side of the picture. Also, one of the claws on the reverse has broken off – but the brooch is secure without this. I don’t think these things detract in any way from its immense charm, but it has been priced accordingly. It fastens with a rollover safety catch and it is also lovely and shiny on the reverse side.
Compare the brooch to the photograph of HM on the cover of ‘Illustrated’ Magazine February 1951. The two look to have been taken about the same time.
A very rare pre-coronation piece – Highly Sought After.
A Lovely Large Size, measures approx: 2.75″ x 1.75″
or 68mm x 47mm
In Very Good Vintage Condition, with issues mentioned.
